i-dle members Minnie, Soyeon, and Miyeon recently appeared on SBS PowerFM’s Wendy’s Young Street to talk about their ninth mini-album We made, their summer comeback, and a few personal stories that caught fans’ attention. During the radio appearance, the group shared updates about their preparations, their new song promotions, and warm shoutouts to IVE members Leeseo and Rei.
i-dle Talk About Their Summer Comeback
During the broadcast, the members were asked whether they prepared anything special for their summer comeback. They explained that the album had originally been planned for May but was delayed, which unexpectedly turned it into a summer release.
They also said they had been working hard to match the concept, sharing that they had been exercising hard and applying oil as part of the preparation.
Minnie added that she was happy to take on the intro part of their new song again, while Miyeon revealed that, while preparing for the album, she reached out to Soyeon for the first time to ask for more parts. Soyeon said she shared her parts with Miyeon.
Miyeon Talks About the Group’s 1st Place Promise
The conversation also moved to i-dle’s 1st place promise. Miyeon, who said she enjoys physical affection, suggested a “kiss promise”. She explained that even though she did not want to do it, the members’ reactions were funny, which is why she brought it up.
She added that she would place Soyeon, whom she said she dislikes the most, in the middle and carry out the promise. Her comments brought a playful tone to the interview and showed the close, teasing dynamic between the members.
Miyeon Sends a Warm Shoutout to IVE’s Leeseo
When a listener asked about celebrities the members had recently become close to, Miyeon mentioned IVE’s Leeseo. She said Leeseo was like a younger sister who contacted her first and even sent flowers to her concert.
Miyeon added that they were planning to eat together soon and said, “I’m going to pay for the meal,” showing a caring older sister side. Her comments highlighted the warm connection between the two idols.
According to the news source, Minnie also gave an impromptu shoutout to IVE’s Rei. She said that even though Rei is younger, Rei was the one who asked for Minnie’s contact first, and that she felt grateful for it.
Minnie then shared that she really wanted to have a meal together with Rei as well, adding another friendly moment to the radio appearance. Both shoutouts showed the positive relationships i-dle members have been building with other artists.
i-dle’s Strong World Tour Momentum Continues
Along with their comeback promotions, i-dle has also been drawing attention for their successful world tour. The group showed strong ticket power ahead of the new release, starting with a sold-out concert in February at KSPO DOME in Seoul.
They also became the first Korean girl group to perform at Taipei Dome. In June, they performed for around 80,000 fans over two days at Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Stadium, further proving their global reach and popularity.
New Song Promotions and Upcoming Performance
i-dle officially began promotions for their new song “Gimme Dat Love” on Mnet’s M Countdown on the 9th. The group is also set to perform at Lollapalooza in Chicago on the 31st.
With a new mini-album, active music show promotions, and a major festival appearance ahead, i-dle is entering this comeback period with strong momentum. Their latest radio appearance also gave fans a closer look at the members’ personalities, teamwork, and the warm friendships they share with fellow idols.
